What we publish

Cyber Security News is an independent publication covering threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, ransomware, malware, data breaches, cloud security, AI security and security operations. We publish two kinds of content and label them clearly:

  • News summaries. Short, independently written summaries of items first reported by publications an editor has explicitly approved. Every summary names the original publisher, links to the original article and says how the summary was produced. We never reproduce full articles.
  • Original articles. News, opinion and research written by named contributors, with a byline that links to a profile listing their expertise, credentials and other published work.

How the newsroom works

Feeds from approved sources are checked automatically. Each item is deduplicated, classified, summarised and run through quality checks before it can appear on the site. Items that fail a check are held for an editor; items that pass may be published automatically, depending on the source's settings. Editors can pause any source, or all automation, at any time. Details are in our automated content policy and source attribution policy.

03

Independence

We do not accept payment for coverage. If sponsored content is ever introduced it will be labelled as such. Contributors disclose relevant affiliations on their profiles and on individual articles. Opinion pieces reflect their authors' views, not an editorial position.

Corrections and contact

We correct errors promptly and record every material change on the article itself. See the corrections policy, the copyright and takedown process, or contact the editors.
